Breakthrough science and technology for the manufacturing industry is once again up for discussion at the Innovation Series to be held in Melbourne on 12 May.
The Innovation Series is a networking forum which attracts senior business professional, as well as others involved in research, technology and professional services.
Victorian minister for manufacturing, exports and trade Richard Dalla-Riva will speak at the Melbourne debut of the Innovation Series lunch.
Dalla-Riva will be speaking alongside Professor Aleksandar Subic, head of school of aerospace, mechanical and manufacturing engineering at RMIT University in Melbourne, and Pat Boland, a founder and joint Managing Director of ANCA, a designer, manufacturer and supplier of world leading machine tool technology to Boeing, General Electric and Rolls Royce.
According to a 2010 survey conducted by Innovation Series, respondents named new research projects, clients, partnership opportunities and angel investors as the some of the key benefits gain from attending the events.
Gill-Laird Portch from Zernike Australia said that while the survey outcomes have helped to promote the Innovation Series, the underlying purpose remains to assist manufacturing professionals and “connecting people to ideas and ideas to people”.
The Innovation Series has previously been held in Brisbane and Sydney.
