A man has died after being shot in the face outside a factory in the northern Melbourne suburb of Campbellfield.
The ABC reports that police were called to the scene after reports of gunfire. They arrived at the scene at about 6.20am where they found the deceased’s body.
According to the Herald Sun, police spoke to a young man at the scene who was dressed in a white hoodie. He was distraught and was not thought to be a suspect but, according to the Age, he was taken away in an unmarked police car after 8.30am.
Renee, who works at a nearby candle supply business told the Age that area where the shooting took place is “just a really quiet, industrial street".
"It's quiet during the day and then when you leave at 4.30pm all the cars are already gone from the street."
Theo, who also works in the area, told the ABC bikies were often seen in the area.
