Limestone manufacturer wins grants

A South Australian limestone block manufacturer has won nearly half million dollars to expand its manufacturing facility.

The $442 500 grant from the South East SA Innovation and Investment Fund will be used to expand Jaffa Limestone's Cape Jaffa facility's production, and develop its logistics chain, according to News.com.au.

Jaffa's general manager Mark Hayward said the company is the only one producing limestone blocks in the state, adding that "our business model is unique in that we have established our production facilities in regional SA because of the access to high-quality limestone".

The company expects to create new jobs to expand its production and sales.
