The product is seamlessly integrated within the SolidWorks platform and is said to enable intelligence and automation in design and manufacturing.

CAMWorks 2009 has over 100 new features and enhancements for machining faster and more accurately, NC Computer Systems claims.

This release also has significant advances in 3-axis functionality, new features and cutting strategies for 2- to 5-axis milling, turning and wire EDM.

According to the company, CAMWorks is the first CAM solution to offer knowledge-based feature recognition and associative machining capabilities, continuously enhances its features in line with customer needs, and to better integrate with the SolidWorks platform.
