The South Australian (SA) government has announced of a new grant scheme in advanced manufacturing for companies to collaborate with established research bodies.
Under this scheme the government will distribute $ 1 million innovation vouchers to connect small and medium enterprises (SME’s) with research institutions, the Adelaidenow reports.
The vouchers will be valued at $10,000 to $20,000.
Manufacturing, innovation and trade minister Tom Koutsantonis said "the scheme was one of several programs under the forthcoming manufacturing strategy."
"This program and a range of other initiatives aim to support manufacturers to innovate and deliver high-value commercial outcomes," Koutsantonis said.
Candidates will be chosen by a team of Department for Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy (DMITRE), Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (DFEEST), and industry representatives.
Application information will be available through the DFEEST website.
