Big players in the food manufacturing industry have made it onto IBISWorld’s list of the Top 1000 Australian companies.
During 2014, average revenue growth across all Top 1000 companies was 7.5 percent, down from 14.6 percent on the previous year.
Fonterra Co-op Group moved up from its spot at number 19 last year, to a rank of 16, with a 19.7 percent increase in net profit after tax and total revenue of 20,541 million.
Metcash also climbed the ladder, moving from 24 to 25 with total revenue of 13,533 million, followed by Coca-Cola Amatil, who was ranked at 71.
Other big names which made the list include; Lion Nathan National Foods, Graincorp, JBS Australia, Glencore Grain and Murray Goulburn Co-op.
