Fire on weekend claims western Sydney furniture factory

A fire in Bankstown on Saturday saw a furniture factory nearly completely destroyed.

According to AAP, 50 firefighters from Fire & Rescue NSW battled the blaze, with one man taken to hospital due to smoke inhalation.

No neighbouring properties were harmed by the fire, according to the report.

FRNSW tweeted at 9:13 pm on Saturday night that the fire had been put out, but the factory was “90 % destroyed”.
