Fire breaks out in ACT factory

A fire broke out in a factory in Fyshwick in the ACT yesterday. The premises were unoccupied when the incident occurred.

As The Canberra Times reports, Fire & Rescue and Ambulance Service personnel were called to the factory on Yalloum St at about 4.50pm and were able to put the fire out by 5.50pm.

The premises belong to Neoplex, a manufacturer of commercial and industrial signs.

“The factory is not occupied and businesses around the factory have been safely evacuated,” the ACT Emergency Services Agency said in a statement.
