Fibreglass factory burns at Welshpool

A
fire in Welshpool yesterday caused a reported $750,000 worth of damage to a
fibreglass factory.

The West Australian reports that the factory fire at Radium Street began just after
3 pm yesterday.

Firefighters
arrived at the site at 3:20 pm, with nine trucks and 55 firefighters onsite at
Radium Street, according to Perth Now. WA’s Department of Fire and Emergency Services
said that the fire was contained at 4:23 pm.

The
owner of the business was reported to have been hospitalised after being burnt,
and is in a stable condition at Royal Perth Hospital.

A
separate fire at a Bibra Lake seed and grain business started at 3:30 pm and
caused $200,000 worth of damage, reports The West Australian elsewhere.
