MBSP Import has been forced to recall a TUV Electrical Lead which may cause a short circuit in electrical appliances or equipment.

The three-metre lead, which carries the model number 16A 3M, was found to include poor-quality insulating material on the conductors, Product Safety Recalls Australia said.

The colouring of the conductors was also found not to comply with the Australian Standard, and the lead does not have a Queensland or external approval.

The product was sold in Queensland between February and December 2009, through traders Ninh Son, A & J Trading, Tiffany Trading, Gone Bonkers Discounts and Koz Market.

Customers who purchased the lead are advised to immediately stop using it and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
