It’s that time of year again: the end.
The year 2015 finishes on what we believe is a positive note for the industry.
Though there’s been the odd spot of pain as things continue to transform and restructure, there’s also been an abundance of good news in the manufacturing sector.
We entered December with five straight months of growth, according to the Australian Industry Group’s PMI. This is the best streak we’ve seen since 2010.
The last part of the year also sees an unmissable focus on innovation: an overused buzzword, for sure, but also a crucial concept for our industry. Time will tell us whether or not policy tweaks will do what they’re supposed to, but the conversation has been a welcome if at times frustrating one.
At this title in 2015, we’ve introduced our Factories of the Future series, which we have big plans for in 2016. (Watch this space.) We’ve also ended a successful year with a change of publishers.
It’s at this point we’d like to thank you all for sharing your time, your stories, and your curiosity with us. Our magazine/website/events couldn’t continue without these things.
