Emma Thomas joins PwC Urban Renewal Practice

Emma Thomas, former director-general for Transport Canberra and City Services (TCCS), will join the Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) Infrastructure and Urban Renewal Team.

During her tenure at TCCS, Thomas led the organisations directorate and supported the Federal Government in organising community projects.

“It’s an exciting time to join PwC Infrastructure and Urban Renewal team. The list of nationally significant infrastructure projects needed to address congestion, liveability and economic growth, particularly in our major cities, continues to grow,” Thomas said.

“I’m confident that my experience will complement the wider team and I’m really looking forward to working alongside our clients to help achieve their ambitions and solve important problems for Australia.”

Thomas, who finished her role at TCCS following the start of light rail stage 1, will commence with PwC later this month.

“Emma has an excellent track record of delivering major infrastructure and urban renewal projects, including public transport transformation, a ‘smart city’ LED streetlight replacement program, the city-wide rollout of green bins, and of course, stage one of Canberra’s light rail network which received a well-deserved fanfare,” said James Sherrard, PwC Infrastructure and Urban Renewal Leader.

“We’re excited about the proposition of having someone with Emma’s extensive commercial and public sector experience working alongside our clients. Emma is highly regarded as an outstanding leader and is passionate about creating a simple and responsive customer experience with transport infrastructure, which will add firepower to our team.”
