Eaton Industries, an industrial manufacturer of power quality products, has been awarded the 2010 Asia Pacific Frost & Sullivan Power Quality Company of the Year.

The award follows Frost & Sullivan research into the Southeast Asian and Australasian Power Distribution Unit Market and Asia Pacific UPS Market in which it concluded that Eaton had surpassed its competitors and outpaced the Asia Pacific industry’s growth in 2009, the company claims.

In judging the award, Frost & Sullivan found that Eaton had demonstrated superior business growth over the past two years and successfully overcome industry challenges in spite of the economic turmoil.

“By maintaining our strategic focus of delivering new, customer-driven power quality capabilities to organisations that demand high performance, we are delighted to be recognised as a category leader by Frost & Sullivan,” said Eaton marketing manager, distributed power solutions, Asia Pacific, Michael Mallia.

“It is a great validation of our strategy and indicative of Eaton’s commitment to innovation and further exemplifies our continued momentum in the Asia Pacific region.”

Eaton’s power quality business is a supplier of power management products and services. The organisation’s power quality portfolio encompasses an offering of power management solutions including uninterruptible power supplies, surge protective devices, switchgear, power distribution unit, remote monitoring, meters, software, connectivity, enclosures and services.
