Dandenong South factory fire causes $1.5 m damage

A fire at Dandenong South that broke out on Tuesday night caused an estimated $1.5 million worth of damage at a line-marking materials factory.

The Dandenong Leader reports that the factory at Amberley Crescent, which was put out by nine brigades, suffered a high amount of damage due to stored paints and solvents.

"The fire is under investigation, but is believed to have started with paint thinners," Dandenong CFA station officer Daryl Owen told the Leader.
