Compressor company relocates due to demand

Southern Cross Compressors, a supply and service business, has relocated to a new purpose-built facility in Keysborough, at the beginning of the EastLink Freeway.

The company relocated in late-August from neighbouring Braeside in response to its growth, with further room for expansion available at the new site.

“The new building houses a specially designed climate controlled air end rebuild centre, environmentally responsible plant wash bays, a fully equipped welding shop and metal fabrication centre, blasting and painting facilities, bunded oil storage plus an advanced testing centre capable of function testing of large compressors,” Southern Cross said in a statement.

“An expanded inventory now caters for higher service levels for an ever increasing customer base and a fully interactive AV training centre has been established for on-going of training service technicians, customers and sales personnel.”

The new location is just west of Dandenong, in the state’s manufacturing heartland, and will provide higher service levels and an interactive audio-visual training centre, according to Southern Cross.
