Aussie Aldi stores to start selling 3D printers next week

Aldi stores in Australia will start selling budget 3D printers and filaments, starting next week.

3Ders reports that the stores’ Aldi Special Buy areas will sell new FDM printers, 3D printing pens and feedstock from Cocoon Create, part of Winplus Australia. The sale begins next Wednesday, February 17.

The budget-price $499 machines come with Cura software, an SD card with pre-loaded files, and 10 metres of filament. They can print in PLA, ABS, PVA and HIPS filaments.

Electronics company Winplus Australia is based in Boronia, Victoria, and is a “product development and wholesaling” operation, according to its website.
