ANCA Group buys into Australian waterjet cutting technology supplier

ANCA Group has signed-on as equity partner for Australian waterjet cutting technology provider TECHNI Waterjet, allowing the latter to increase capital and production to meet growing demand.

ANCA, one of the largest CNC grinding machine manufacturers in the world, will take a 25% share of TECHNI over the next two years.

TECHNI Waterjet will now be known as TECHNI Waterjet ANCA, with the company claiming it will continue to apply the same strict quality controls in developing its products.

“The strategic alliance builds on TECHNI’s ability to provide leading edge technology as well as the capital to significantly increase production and meet rapidly growing demand for products like the new Quantum ESP electric servo pump,” said TECHNI managing director, Darren Reukers.

“The backing of the ANCA group as a global machine tool manufacturer will also help to grow the business, enhance the wider recognition of our products and strengthen and protect our unique Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio.”

The two companies worked together previously to form the core software for both the Quantum ESP, and the PAC-60 Bevel Cutting Head.

“This means that we already understand the technology and each other, and shows that we can work together successfully to deliver better outcomes for our customers,” said Reukers.

TECHNI will now have access to ANCA’s key markets of the USA and Europe, with the team planning to enter the emerging markets of Latin America and Asia.

“We see our investment in TECHNI Waterjet and their technology as a key strategic decision, which will strengthen and broaden our market, and extend an already mutually beneficial relationship,” said ANCA CEO, Grant Anderson.
