Amcor expands US flexibles presence, acquires Deluxe Packages for $US 45 million

Packaging company Amcor has acquired the Californian company Deluxe Packages for $US 45 million ($61.7 million), expanding the firm’s new Flexibles Americas group.

AAP reports that Deluxe has annual revenues of around $US 42 million, and sells to the fresh and snack food sectors.

"North America is an attractive region for flexible packaging and this acquisition represents an excellent opportunity to accelerate profitable growth," Ron Delia, Amcor’s managing director, said in a statement.

Deluxe’s plant is in Yuba City, 60 kilometres north of Sacramento, and was described by Amcor as boasting attractive technologiers, capabilities, and highly skilled staff.
