Australian industrial products manufacturer, Weldlok Industries, has unveiled its new, multi-million dollar warehouse complex in Melbourne — with a promise to customers of even more stock on hand and faster order turnarounds.
Located at Derrimut, a key industrial and distribution hub in the city’s western suburbs, the new warehouse is ideally placed to serve customers and distributors across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
The expansion of capacity has enabled the company to increase stock holdings of its most popular products and add in new product lines to further reduce lead times.
“We’ve developed, with customer input, a tailored range of special and standard products that will be readily available, including hand-railing, gratings, stair tread and expanded metal products,” said Weldlok’s Victorian State Manager, James Lo Giudice.
“This means faster pick-up times and better turnaround on orders.”
In addition to carrying bigger stocks of its most popular products, the new warehouse will also carry a wider range of niche products from the extensive Weldlok range.
Lo Giudice said the facility also has the capacity to accommodate a move into specialised metal fabrication — something the company is considering for the future.
