Bonfiglioli Transmission (Australia) Pty Ltd has appointed Peter Hiscocks to head its business expansion in Queensland; Hiscocks is said to offer more than 25 years experience in key areas of the business.
Hiscocks becomes state sales manager responsible for an area extending from Grafton in New South Wales to Far North Queensland, encompassing major Bonfiglioli markets in areas such as industrial engineering, mining and resources, ports, sugar and materials handling projects.
Bonfiglioli’s Australasian managing director, Malcolm Lewis, says Hiscocks brings to the company an ideal combination of local knowledge and extensive experience in the transmission industry, having held senior Queensland State positions within the industry for the past 15 years.
“Because of the importance of this market – particularly in the expanding area of heavy planetary and helical drives – Mr Hiscocks is also being supported by a widely experienced state sales engineer, Mr Alan Young,” he said.
“Both men will be extensively involved with supporting our distributors and customers while also ensuring that OEMs receive prompt access to some of the world’s most advanced heavy transmission designs. These include the new HD series, which is ideally suited to many Queensland industries and which is now being assembled in Australia to more than halve delivery times.”
Hiscocks and Young will be part of the Bonfiglioli team exhibiting heavy drives at the Queensland Mining Exhibition in Mackay from 27 to 29 July, displaying heavy industrial drives engineered for service in demanding industries.
