NORD Drivesystems has optimised its microsite for drive technologies
designed specifically to fulfil hygiene requirements in food and beverage
industries.
NORD’s microsite food.nord.com is now optimised for mobile devices such
as iPhone, Android smartphones and Blackberry, allowing excellent readability
and navigation. The dedicated microsite, which presents sector-specific solutions
and products, provides quick access to all drive systems suitable for the food
industry.
NORD’s drive solutions for the food industry include wet cell versions
of geared motors, which are 100% oil-tight, hygienic, and reliable. Washdown
models of several gear unit types introduced by NORD in 2011 are also available
on the microsite, and feature a design based on smooth surface transitions with
large radii, without undercuts and dead spaces, reducing the accumulation of dirt.
Cleaning liquids can be safely used on the washdown drive systems as they can
be washed off easily in all installation positions.
Combined with cost-efficient smooth-surfaced aluminium motors, the gear
units turn into complete hygienic solutions that can benefit from additional corrosion
protection with NSDtupH surface treatment.
The NSDtupH treatment delivers corrosion
protection to aluminium products similar to stainless steel models. NORD’s
drive systems can be supplied customised with special feature modifications
including suitability for extended temperature range operation, protective
finishes with a five-year guarantee, and special lubricants.
