Modular homes maker collapses

A modular homes maker based in New South Wales has become the latest victim of the manufacturing downturn after collapsing into administration.

Jones Partners have been appointed as administrators for Trade Fusion, a modular homes manufacturing business founded in 2004, and expressions of interest are now out for the business.

Administrators say intellectual property, land, and buildings are among the company’s assets, Smart Company reports.

Trade Fusion said it employed around 20 people, including apprentices, and was founded on the idea of combining manufacturing and trade components.

The company was home to a factory that produced building products, and a traditional construction business was placed alongside the manufacturing outlet.
