Markforged PX100 extends Australia’s mass production capabilities

Additive manufacturer Markforged will launch its newest printer, the PX100 Bender Jetting solution, which enables manufacturers to build large quantities of high-quality metal parts.

Additive manufacturer Markforged will launch its newest printer, the PX100 Binder Jetting solution, which enables manufacturers to build large quantities of high-quality metal parts.

The Markforged binder jetting technology brings new capabilities in Australia to the Digital Forge, a production system capable of fabricating thousands of complex end-use metal parts.

Developed by Digital Metal over nearly 20 years, the PX100 Binder Jetting system will help manufacturers produce high volumes of functional metal parts with a variety of metal materials and minimal setup required. Digital Metal was acquired by Markforged last year.

From 13 to 17 March, as part of the five-city launch tour in Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Tasmania, CEO of Digital Metal Christian Lönne will share insights on the future of metal binder jetting technology in Australia and present the capabilities of the PX100.

“With the introduction of Markforged PX100 Digital Metal, Markforged takes the next step in our long-term commitment to real serial production. Markforged Metal Binder Jetting 3D printing brings manufacturing home, offering supply chain resilience and capabilities to manufacture small to large-scale serial production of metal parts at the point of need,” Lönne said.

“The PX100 builds on the experience of more than 20 years of development of MBJ machines for production of complex metal parts with unparalleled precision and repeatability.

“The PX100 offers a unique combination of high precision and high throughput to ensure the user gets a robust production solution using the latest technology and innovation as well as being a future-proof platform to support manufacturing needs for years to come.”

Richard Elving, senior director Australia, Markforged said, “With this innovative solution, our customers can eliminate third-party supplier risks and costs, insource critical production runs, and build large quantities of discrete or customised parts with precision and reliability.

“We are confident that this technology will empower our customers to become industry leaders in Australian manufacturing.”
