Queensland’s leading advanced manufacturers will open their doors to local manufacturers from 4-15 September 2023 to share the techniques and technologies that have transformed their business to be internationally competitive in the fourth annual Inside Advanced Manufacturing showcase.
Inside Advanced Manufacturing is a state-wide event and this year has welcomed 21 advanced manufacturers and 10 manufacturing support organisations, the largest number of organisations to ever participate.
Manufacturers will host guests on a behind-the-scenes, expert-guided tour of their facility to explain the innovations, technologies, processes and practices that have been transformative for their business.
The state’s leading manufacturers who are participating include Cirrus Ag, a high-quality contract granule manufacturer supporting the agriculture industry. Cirrus Ag will welcome delegates to its new state-of-the-art facility which is the only plant of its kind in Australia.
Advanced Robotic Technology (ART) will be showcasing their in-house developed machines which are enabling manufacturers to make drastic increases in productivity.
Queensland’s manufacturing sector contributes more than $20 billion each year to the Queensland economy and provides jobs for around 180,000 people.
The Queensland State Government is building the state’s manufacturing industry through the Advanced Manufacturing 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan and initiatives such as Made in Queensland, Industry 4.0 programs, Decarbonisation Action Planning workshops and Women in Manufacturing events and workshops.
Minister for regional development and manufacturing, Glenn Butcher, said, “Inside Advanced Manufacturing will celebrate the best of the sector right across Queensland, as we become Australia’s leading manufacturing state.
“It’s a fantastic knowledge-sharing event and tours fill up quickly, so anyone interested should book their place as soon as possible.
“21 of our leading Queensland manufacturers will welcome fellow manufacturers into their facilities to showcase their advanced technology and share exactly how they adopted and adapted to advanced processes and practices.
“This insight is invaluable for those manufacturers who are commencing their technological transformation and this initiative demonstrates the commitment the Palaszczuk Government has to our manufacturers having the resources they need to grow locally and extend their reach globally.”
