Major industry supplier broadens its horizons

WEG Australia has extended its locally available range of product to encompass a far broader range of complete Systems Solutions.

With this expanded approach, the company says they able to ensure its customers the optimum in integrated product supply, capacity utilisation while at the same time keeping energy consumption low.

The key strategy, is releasing its global product range onto the local market to complement the company’s already established electric motors that can be found in all kinds of industries and applications.

These include the steel, food, power generation and heating, water and waste treatment industries to huge mining mills and industrial washing machines as well as door and gate openers for private households.

Matt Coppens, newly promoted Product Manager — LV Motors for WEG Australia, says motors are the core of the company’s business.

“Now, we can offer better solutions to our existing customers and indeed push into new and exciting markets with the enhanced products, all designed to work in synergy with our current lines, namely the W21 range of standard, mining specification and Ex series motors,” he said.

WEG Australia has consolidated its success with the CFW series Variable Speed Drives and SSW series Soft Starters — the most complete range of drives and starters on the market.

In addition to a comprehensive range of motor control and switchgear has been launched, such as Contactors, DOL and Star-Delta Starters, Motor Protective Circuit breakers and a broad range of timing and Protection relays, the company says they are committed to giving the local market a far greater choice of product.

“It’s simply a case of one supplier for a total solution” Sean Richardson, Product Manager — Automation for WEG Australia said.

“We can look at the requirements of the motor application, then offer multiple products that are not only guaranteed to work in harmony with one another but also give the customer further benefit of a complete system solution been greater than the sum of its parts.”

“These include solutions such as Optimal Flux with our CFW09 motors and W21 series motors are but one example, WEG will be highlighting many more in the near future,” Richardson explained.
