Coles has reappointed Linfox to continue its product distribution in New South Wales by signing a five year distribution agreement.
Linfox chief executive Michael Byrne said the decision followed after a “very competitive” tender process.
“The new five-year agreement builds on a Coles-Linfox partnership that spans nearly five decades,” Byrne said.
Linfox’s fleet and team of 380 people deliver ambient groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, chilled and frozen produce and alcoholic beverages to Coles and Liquorland stores in Sydney and regional NSW.
Linfox also provides warehousing and distribution for Coles’ stores in Victoria.
“Coles is one of Linfox’s largest customers and we enjoy a very strong partnership,” Byrne said.
“Linfox’s industry-leading retail supply chain expertise is in demand by retailers throughout the Asia Pacific region. As well as Australia, we manage supply chain operations for leading retailers in New Zealand, Thailand and China.”
