KSAT supports Gilmour Space in pioneering Eris orbital vehicles

Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) will support Gilmour Space Technologies in developing new capabilities for launching small satellites into space.

As Gilmour Space Technologies pioneers new and innovative hybrid propulsion technologies offering lower cost access space, KSAT will provide resilient communication solutions and engineers for real-time monitoring via their Launch- and Launch and Early Operations Phase (LEOP) services.

“Australia is a focus market for KSAT, and we look forward to supporting Gilmour Space and further cooperate with Australian Space industry to build National Space capabilities,” KSAT sales director Asia Pacific Kenneth Olafsson said.

Gilmour Space Technologies’ Eris orbital launch vehicles will deliver up to 1,000kg to LEO, with a first launch to be expected later this year.

The importance of having in-depth experience as well as infrastructure during these mission critical phases cannot be overstated. KSAT credits this practice to their long record of success.

“It’s fantastic to be working with the experienced team at KSAT to help Australia get to space,” Gilmour Space Technologies Launch Vehicle program manager David Doyle said.
