Jord International appoints new CEO

Privately owned multinational group Jord International has appointed Greg Jones as CEO, commencing 15 July.

With annual revenues of $300 million and more than 400 staff, Jord designs, constructs, and services process plants for the resource and energy sectors.

After 17 years at InfraBuild, Jones brings extensive international experience serving the industrial, manufacturing, resource, and infrastructure sectors.

Jones has successfully directed business growth and transformation strategies, as well as driven product innovations.

Jones says he is excited by Jord’s ambition and new technologies in the pipeline. “Jord’s story spans five decades and it’s a great example of an Australian-headquartered company delivering technology-driven solutions on a global scale,” said Jones.

“The industry is constantly changing and adapting. Jord has a nimble and innovative approach that has huge potential for continued growth.”

Current CEO Angus Holden will move into the Executive Board Chair position and will remain involved in the strategic oversight of the business.

Holden says Greg is only the fourth CEO in Jord’s 52 years of operations, demonstrating a long history of steady leadership. “Jord has never been in better shape.

We have an immensely exciting future. So it’s a great pleasure to welcome Greg to the team, to continue building our global footprint and capabilities,” said Holden.

“We know the coming decades will see massive changes and investment in the energy industry. Greg is well placed to deepen Jord’s impact as we pioneer new technologies required for the energy transition.”

Jord is also about to break ground on a NovaCell™ demonstration plant at Tritton copper mine. NovaCell™ is an innovative flotation technology that significantly reduces energy and water consumption compared to traditional mineral processing solutions.

This project is part-funded by a $5.68 million grant from the NSW Government Critical Minerals and High-Tech Metals Activation Fund – Stream 2.
