Is your current forklift fleet delivering?

It seems like a truism, but if your equipment is serving you well it should be minimising your costs. This is no different for forklifts.

There is a huge range of factors at play in delivering the greatest productivity from a forklift fleet.

Some are obvious, for examples maximum uptime, low fuel consumption and high performance.

Some are less so, like having access to the right parts, reliable after-sales service when it’s needed, and advice on tailoring your fleet to match business conditions.

There are other important considerations, too, and best handled by the experts that would handle the last two examples above.

An old fleet might not provide the best efficiency, and could cost lost hours while rare replacement parts are tracked down.

Reliability concerns are top of mind for credible forklift manufacturers, such as UniCarriers formerly Nissan Forklift).

Three companies and over a century of material handling expertise are attached to UniCarriers, Combining the experience of Japanese, American and Dutch manufacturers spanning over 40 years.

On Australia’s east coast, their exclusive dealer since November 2014 has been Lencrow Materials Handling. Prior to this, they have dealt with Nissan since 1988 through Nomad Materials Handling.

“We have always used Nissan products in our fleet and can say with conviction that the units have some of the lowest running costs on the market,” said managing director Ross Grassick last year.

“At Lencrow we have a policy – if we would not use it in our own fleet we will never become a supplier of that product.”

Speaking of fleets, Lencrow’s long relationship with Nissan Forklifts has a thorough knowledge of these engines, and is able to deliver purpose-built custom fleets.

This provides all the advantages above, as well as having each model at hand able to suit every application needed on site, providing the add-ons such as pallets and racking systems.

Through its wide stock of equipment it is able to customise a brand new fleet for a business, specific to their needs.
