Honda appoints new GM to drive opportunities in India

Honda Australia has appointed Vikram Pawah, general manager of the power equipment and marine division, to the role of general manager of corporate planning at Honda Siel Cars India.

Pawah, who has been general manager of the power equipment and marine division for the past three years, will conclude this role on 18 November 2011, will be replaced by Peter Singleton has commenced the role as of 1 October 2011.

Before becoming general manager of the power equipment and marine division,  Pawah held roles in corporate affairs and as general manager of customer service.

In his new role, Pawah will drive Honda Siel Cars India and develop new opportunities for Honda in the Indian market.

Peter Singleton, who is currently the assistant general manager power equipment and marine, has experienced working in Honda Power Equipment sales office and has previously held the role of OEM national manager.

Singleton also spent three years working for Honda in Japan working with product planning and production departments. He was recently re-elected as President of the Australian Outdoor Power Equipment Association (OPEA).
