PALLET elevators, vacuum lifting equipment, cranes, hoists and drum tippers will be demonstrated by materials handling equipment specialist Millsom Hoists training as Millsom Materials Handling on stand 3811 during National Manufacturing Week at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from May 27 to 30.
Headlining the Millsom display will be Australian-designed and manufactured Rotolift pallet elevators. The Rotolift range was developed to help reduce workplace back injuries which account for up to 85 per cent of all Workcover claims.
The elevators keep the active layer of a load at waist height (or above) during manual pallet loading and unloading to eliminate bending and lifting.
Rotolift pallet elevators are used in numerous industries, from warehousing, print, wine and food to packaging, construction, timber, glass and mining.
Millsom Hoists will also exhibit: vacuum lifting equipment for handling products from small workstation devices to materials such as sheets of metal and MDF weighing up to 2000 kg; jib cranes and workstation cranes, with Millsom low friction tracking, which can be used with vacuum lifters and hoists, also to suspend tools from spring balancers to help prevent soft tissue injuries; drum lifting/tipping equipment for transporting and pouring from 200 L drums and electric chain hoists for loads weighing from 125 kg to 5000 kg.
