THE PushCorp model STC1615 high speed servo toolholder, vailable through Romheld Australia, has a 15hp (11.2kW) 16,000rpm servo motor with integral tool clamping for robotic grinding, drilling, and machining operations.

The STC1615 is designed for standard BT30 toolholders thus making a very wide variety of machine tools available for use. The keyed shaft prevents the toolholder from slipping, allowing full torque to be applied.
The toolholder is designed to be mounted on the PushCorp AFD1100/80 Series compliant force devices. It may also be rigidly mounted directly to a hi-capacity robot to provide a low cost six-axis machining centre with a large work volume.

The active force instruments maintain the applied force of the material removal tool. Should any variation in the force be sensed by the system, it will adjust accordingly.
