Geelong Shell refinery leak contained

A diesel leak at the Geelong Shell refinery, which began early this morning, has been contained.

The ABC reports that the Country Fire Authority has five trucks on site as a precaution. The CFA says the leak, which occurred at 2:30 am, has been stopped.

The refinery was earlier this year described by a Shell executive as a “borderline” operation, and there has been speculation that it may close down some time soon.
