Gases-approved compression fittings

HAM-Let has announced the approval of its Let-Lok tube compression fittings by TUVRheinland for use in compressed natural and hydrogen gasses.

Ham-Let also has a full range of valves, filters, and accessories.

Pirtek Fluid Systems, exclusive Australian distributor of Ham-Let Instrumentation products, said the certification complied with ECE Regulation 110, ECE Regulation 67-01, Draft ECE Compressed Gaseous Hydrogen Regulation (Revision 12b) and ISO 15500-19 State of the Art.

Pirtek advised that the fittings are used in a variety of industries where tube is used in lieu of threaded or welded pipe. Compression tube fittings allow systems to be assembled in confined areas to “finger tight” state – giving the exact size of the finished assembly.

This differs to threaded pipe in that pipe needs to be fully tightened to give exact size of an assembly, making field adjustment more difficult and time consuming. The Let-Lok twin ferrule sealing system does not require sealing tape or liquid sealant.

The Ham-Let range of Let-Lok twin ferrule fittings is extensive and covers metric sizes from 2mm through 25mm and imperial sizes from 1/16″ through 1-1/2″.

Fittings include straight unions, reducers, tees, elbows, and many others. Fittings also cater for tubing to male or female threaded connectors (in NPT and BSP) as well as pipe weld connectors.

To complement the full range of fittings, Ham-Let also has a full range of valves, filters, and accessories. The valve range includes ball valves (one, two and three piece), needle valves, toggle valves, metering valves, in-line check valves, excess flow valves, and relief valves.

For those special applications where high-reactivity fluids are being used, Ham-Let has a full range of “ultra-clean” diaphragm valves with manual or pneumatic operation.
