French companies Viseo and Total Eren will establish new headquarters in Victoria, creating 65 new technology and innovation jobs.
Tim Pallas, minister for economic development, says Viseo and Total Eren will help expand Melbourne’s French business and innovation sector.
“Time and time again businesses are choosing Victoria to set up shop – and that’s no coincidence,” Pallas said.
“It’s a vote of confidence in the strength of our innovation sectors, our strong economy, and capacity for growth – and it means more jobs.”
Tech company Viseo, will set up its headquarters in Melbourne in order to increase brand awareness and increase sales in Australia and New Zealand.
“Choosing Melbourne as the location of our Australian head office was obvious. Victoria provides an extraordinary culture with a high education level and talented workforce. Victoria is a leading destination, very attractive, and competitive within the technology environment,” said Olivier Dhonte, managing director of Viseo Asia.
Viseo will create up to 50 jobs over five years, which will be responsible for designing and building products and delivering project management services to assist with its customers’ digital transformation.
Renewable energy company, Total Ern, will also relocate its Asia Pacific headquarters from Singapore to Melbourne, which will lead an all new development project for Victoria, creating 15 new jobs.
“We chose Melbourne for our headquarters for many reasons, including proximity to all major banking and finance corporations, access to a highly educated and talented workforce, and its diverse and exciting culture,” said Michael Vawser, regional director of Total Eren.
Total Eren, which has a presence across 24 countries, says its new Melbourne headquarters will be its second largest office outside of Paris.
