Free workshops for manufacturers

Advanced Manufacturing Australia (AMAus) and the PAC Group are organising Enterprise Connect workshops “Managing your firm through the global financial crisis”.

The workshops, to be held in June in several states, are free of charge for any manufacturing company.

The workshops will provide attendees with an insight into the critical financial and operational assessment tools used to gain an understanding of the organisation’s cash quality, operational effectiveness and position in the market.

A business improvement road map can be developed simply into a one page business plan giving all stakeholders a clear understanding of critical success factors and the time frame for their achievement.

In addition to this, a comprehensive overview of how you can improve cash flow and returns and how you can get youir bank to say yes?

Objectives include:

• Strategies for managing through a downturn

• Managing costs

• Managing cash flow

• Inventory management

• Generating sales

• Diversification strategies

• Turnaround strategies to improve business performance

According to Angela Krepcik, CEO of AMAus, the workshops will be interactive and will give participants an opportunity for firms to network and learn from peers, including linkages to further avenues of assistance.

“Firms will be provided with practical options and tools to improve business performance and better manage through a downturn,” she said.
