Foodpro 2011 set to be biggest ever

The triennial Australian Food Processing and Technology Exhibition, Foodpro, returns in July 2011, reportedly as the biggest show yet.

Said to be the largest show of its kind in Australasia, next year Foodpro will fill five large halls at Darling Harbour from Sunday 10 to Wednesday 13 July, according to the organisers.

The interest of potential exhibitors, from large companies to small specialist manufacturers, has been ‘overwhelming’, the organisers claim.

Already, 80% of exhibitor placements have been taken up. Foodpro Manager, Peter Petherick, is delighted with the commitment already generated.

“Since its inception in the 1960s, Foodpro has become the most influential and comprehensive food manufacturing event in the Region. For visitors, it’s an invaluable opportunity to view the latest showcase of products and ideas from the cream of the food manufacturing business suppliers,” he said.

“Extraordinarily cost effective, it enables exhibitors and attendees alike to make face-to-face contact while appreciating the full breadth of their respective industry sectors.”

Foodpro will feature a display of the latest food and beverage processing machinery, services, technical products, ingredients, flavourings, additives, food safety and testing equipment, micro-biology equipment, packaging, handling, storage, transport, plant equipment, hygiene, water and waste systems, and more.

For the first time, Diversified Exhibitions Australia will manage Foodpro, which the exhibition company purchased from DMG World Media some 12 months ago.
