Food products recalled after metal fragments found

AUSTRALIAN consumers could get a nasty surprise when they sit down to eat dinner tonight, following an announcement by McCain Foods that it has recalled a batch of its frozen meal products because they could contain metal fragments.

The products affected are bags of Stir Fry Vegetables Pasta Alfredo with Sauce, with a best before date of December 21, 2009.

McCain has stated the meals should not be eaten and can be returned to stores for a refund.
