Fire destroys Perth factory

A fire destroyed a sound and light business in the Perth suburb of Myaree last night.

The West Australian reports that the fire broke out at AAA Production Services on Malland Street at about 6.15 pm last night.

A spokesman from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services told The West Australian that 10-12 fire trucks went to the scene.

Firefighters from Perth, Murdoch, Fremantle, Kensington, Belmont, Canning Vale and Claremont stations were called to the blaze.

They were able to bring the blaze under control by 7 pm but they couldn’t save the building.

Smoke from the fire affected parts of Myaree, Alfred Cove and the eastern part of Melville.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
