Firefighters managed to control a fire at an aluminium factory in Clayton South this morning.
Channel 9 reports that three fire crews were called to the blaze on Eileen Rd at about 4am. Apart from the aluminium factory, the building also housed three other businesses, including a vintage car collection.
According to 7YahooNews, they were able to prevent the fire from affecting those businesses.
The Metropolitan Fire Brigade said the fire was now of no threat to the community, however they warned that smoke could affect traffic in the area.
A fire investigation team will investigate the site today. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
