REDARC Electronics has been recognised at the 2026 Endeavour Awards for its ongoing commitment to sustainability and operational improvement, with the company implementing changes across energy use, waste reduction and packaging within its Australian manufacturing operations.

Accepting the award on behalf of the business, business development manager – Queensland, Aaron Przibilla, said the recognition reflected the collective effort of teams across the organisation working to deliver measurable environmental outcomes.

“What we’re really proud of as a team is we all work really hard to make improvements, not just talk about them,” said Przibilla.

Over the past year, REDARC has reduced electricity consumption by 20 per cent, cut emissions by 60 per cent and diverted 98 per cent of manufacturing waste from landfill. The company’s sustainability initiatives have been driven from its Lonsdale manufacturing facility in South Australia, where teams have focused on implementing practical improvements across operations and production processes.

“This is manufacturing waste, so I can’t take too much credit for that,” Przibilla said. “That is the wonderful people back in our Lonsdale facility that have done that.”

One of the company’s achievements has been transitioning the Lonsdale site to operate on 100 per cent renewable electricity through a combination of solar generation and battery storage systems. The battery infrastructure is also capable of supporting factory operations during grid outages, improving both sustainability and operational resilience.

“Our Lonsdale facility is actually 100 per cent powered by renewable electricity,” said Przibilla. “The battery system can run that factory for a couple hours if the grid does go down.”

Alongside energy initiatives, REDARC has also focused on packaging reform, reducing reliance on plastics and foam materials across its product lines. The company reports that 88 per cent of packaging materials are now made from recycled paper or cardboard.

“We’ve also made a lot of big changes to our packaging,” Przibilla said. “One of the big things the guys have been working on is reducing the foam and plastics in those products.”

The Excellence in Sustainability award recognises manufacturers implementing meaningful environmental initiatives while maintaining strong operational performance. For REDARC, the achievement highlights the role manufacturing teams can play in delivering practical sustainability outcomes through continuous improvement and innovation.

“A lot of hard work has gone into making these improvements, and I really appreciate the commitment from everyone involved at REDARC,” said Przibilla. “Thank you again for the recognition.”
