The US Department of Defense Asymmetric Warfare Group evaluated DroneShield’s products at an event facilitated in Virginia, in early December.
Based in Sydney and Virginia, DroneShield specialises in drone security technology.
The company has developed drone security solutions that protect people, organisations and critical infrastructure from intrusion from drones.
Its leadership brings expertise in engineering and physics, combined with experience in defence, intelligence and aerospace.
DroneShield’s successful deployment at the event in Virginia included participation in seven experimental scenarios and detection and tracking of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles via combined radio frequency and radar detection.
The company’s DroneGun Tactical and DroneCannon systems were also used to show how users can negate mock-threat drones through the use of these products.
DroneShield CEO Oleg Vornik said the US and UK military trials continue to cement DroneShield’s leadership in the counter drone space.
“[The military] and numerous other global end-users continue to seek counter drone solutions to combat the rapidly escalating and constantly evolving drone threat,” said Vornik.
The event follows the company’s recent participation in the Autonomous Warrior 2018 exercise with the UK military, using its DroneSentinel platform.
