DHL opens new facility in Western Sydney

DHL Supply has opened its latest facility in Sydney’s western suburb of Horsley Park. The 32,000 square metre, custom built facility represents a $35 million investment by DHL Supply Chain.

It marks the fourth addition to the company’s industrial ‘Campus’. This new facility brings DHL Supply Chain’s overall investment in Campus to circa $120 million to support its consumer, retail, technology and healthcare customers in Australia.

Campus is a DHL Supply Chain exclusively leased industrial park which spans 18 hectares. It employs more than 500 people and offers 90,000 square metres of warehousing. Custom developed by Goodman for DHL Supply Chain, it is optimised to offer customers industry leading warehousing and transportation solutions.

“Campus is home to many of our consumer, retail, technology and healthcare customers and features some of our most innovative customer solutions and environmentally sound outputs,” said Terry Ryan, CEO, DHL Supply Chain South Pacific.

“Annually we have taken upwards of 30,000 square metres of industrial real estate since 2009 and will continue expansion to support Australian market growth. Today, in Australia, we manage over 500,000 square metres of warehousing.”

The new facility will welcome three key retail customers, and will be fitted out with a fully automated retail solution in April of 2015. It will offer new employment opportunities for up to 200 people.
