COMPRESSED air expertise will soon fit in the palm of a hand, according to Australian air compressor designer and manufacturer, Champion Compressors.
The company has released a CD-based customer service resource called ‘AirXpert’, and it is available now.
The business-card sized CD contains an interactive installation checklist that guides the user through correct air compressor installation procedures that save time and money.
Also included on the free CD package is Champion’s compressed air technical manual and product catalogue.
AirXpert was conceptualised and designed by Champion’s engineering and technical support team and is designed to be a comprehensive guide to best-practice methods associated with the selection, installation and operation of industrial air compressors.
Taking the form of an interactive user-friendly presentation, the air compressor installation checklist consists of ‘clickable’ menus that provide information on installation parameters including access, ventilation, electrical and piping, as well as installation recommendations.
According to Champion Compressors Marketing Specialist, Paul Issai, AirXpert helps ensure efficient use of resources, while providing a useful learning tool.
“By educating our customers, we hope to make them more aware of the challenges associated with air compressors and their installation,” Issai said.
Champion’s multi-disciplined design team has ensured that the installation checklist is suitable for users of varying levels of technical aptitude.
“The installation checklist is easily utilised by specialist engineers, maintenance staff and air compressor novices. You don’t have to be an air compressor expert to benefit from the information offered in the presentation–but you will become one.”
Running on Windows 98 and above, AirXpert will be of value to all air compressor users.
