Why Industry leaders can’t afford to miss this year’s essential conversations on cost-cutting innovation at CeMAT25.

As cost pressures continue to mount, from labour and energy to supply chain volatility and raw materials, Australian industry faces unprecedented challenges. The need to operate efficiently, control costs, and maintain competitiveness is now a top priority for manufacturers of all sizes.

CeMAT Australia 2025, returning to Sydney Olympic Park from July 22–24, comes at a crucial time. As the country’s leading trade show for intralogistics, materials handling, and automation, CeMAT25 provides a powerful platform to engage with new technologies and gain insights from leaders who are actively driving change in high-cost environments.

This year’s event is also co-located with Industrial Transformation Australia and the Processing and Packaging Pavilion, offering a broader view of the manufacturing value chain, from shop floor automation to smart packaging systems, making it a must-attend for decision-makers looking to transform their operations.

At the centre of this opportunity is the Knowledge Theatre – powered by SSI SCHAEFER. This dedicated space features a high-impact lineup of sessions and panels, giving attendees practical guidance on using automation and AI to build more resilient, cost-efficient businesses.

What to Expect at the CeMAT Knowledge Theatre

Among the standout sessions is “From First Robot to Full Flow: Scalable Automation for Every Growth Phase,” presented by Markus Külken of SSI SCHAEFER. This session tackles the common challenge of adopting automation without a large upfront investment. Külken outlines how modular, scalable systems allow companies to roll out automation step by step, controlling costs while enabling long-term gains.

For those exploring how artificial intelligence can make a difference, “Putting the AI in Automated Intralogistics” by Jeffrey Triantafilo, Partner at Argon & Co, offers practical guidance on applying AI to real logistics challenges. Rather than focusing on theory, this session looks at how AI-driven data can be used to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve operational accuracy.

Another highlight is “Real Business, Real Results: How Automation Accelerates Value,” led by Grant Smith, Director of Business Development – ANZ at Kardex AutoStore. Drawing from case studies with Davcor and Douglas Pharmaceuticals, Smith will demonstrate how well-targeted automation investments can deliver measurable ROI and help businesses scale effectively under pressure.

These sessions are just a snapshot of what the Knowledge Theatre offers focused, actionable content that attendees can take back to their operations and apply immediately.

See the Latest Technology in Action

Beyond the knowledge theatre, CeMAT25 provides a dynamic exhibition floor filled with live demonstrations of robotics, AI-enabled logistics platforms, and advanced warehouse automation systems. From addressing labour shortages to improving fulfilment speed and accuracy, these solutions are designed to help businesses meet the most pressing operational demands.

Why You Should Attend

CeMAT25 isn’t just another trade show, it’s a strategic platform designed for manufacturers navigating rising cost pressures. With expert-led sessions, hands-on technology demos, and invaluable networking opportunities, CeMAT25 will help you discover the automation and AI strategies necessary to protect and grow your bottom line. Don’t miss your chance to join this vital conversation and take away the tools to lead your business through these challenging times.
