Bonfiglioli encourages manufacturers to adopt new energy efficiency standards

Bonfiglioli

Bonfiglioli is a worldwide designer, manufacturer and distributor of a complete range of gearmotors, drive systems, planetary gearboxes and inverters, which satisfy the most challenging and demanding needs in industrial automation, mobile machinery and renewable energy.

The company serves more industries and applications than any other drive manufacturer including Discrete Manufacturing and Process Industries; Mechatronic and Motion Systems; and Mobility and Wind Industries – embodying the expertise and experience of years in these respective industries.

As a strategic partner to Motion Australia, Bonfiglioli works hard to provide premium motor solutions to the industrial manufacturing sector in Australia and New Zealand that are aligned with the most up-to-date global standards.

Adopting a new standard

In response to the new international energy efficiency standards and guidelines that came into effect in 2020, Bonfiglioli launched their BXN motor series to Australia and New Zealand.

According to Neil Pollington, country manager for Bonfiglioli New Zealand, the standards being implemented abroad are important for local manufacturers who export their machinery, as well as for local customers who are focussing on improving their energy efficiency.

When looking to invest in new motors for their equipment, Pollington urges local manufacturers to stay ahead of the curve.

“For those doing upgrades or installing new systems, it’s imperative that you keep in mind that the energy efficiency standards in overseas countries have changed,” he said.

“Much of our manufacturing is exported so it’s important that OEMs remain on top of the standards and comply when exporting to countries like the US and Europe that have already adopted these standards.”
