North Geelong-based safety and security product company Barrier Group has entered its suite of pedestrian separation barriers into the 2011 WorkSafe Awards.
The Q Fence Pedestrian Separation Barriers was developed to improve workplace safety in small and large workplace environments by separating pedestrians on work sites.
Barrier Group business development manager, John Watts said the company’s entry in the WorkSafe Awards is about increasing awareness about the need for more worker protection from forklifts and trolleys and moving vehicles in the workplace.
“We wanted to raise awareness about the issue and let people know there was a solution to the problem,” Watts said in a statement.
The 2011 WorkSafe Awards recognises work safe initiatives in Victorian workplaces.
