ZF Boge Elastmetall Australia and Toyota Australia have been
named as finalists in Victoria’s 2014 Premier’s Sustainability Awards.
Dingley-based ZF Boge Elastmetall Australia has been
shortlisted in the Large Business category for their project, Establishing an
Integrated Energy Reduction Mindset.
The company, which employs 45 people, designs and
manufactures rubber, metal and plastic based components, predominantly for
automotive chassis and powertrain suspension and isolation for the local car
industry.
According to Sustainability Victoria, the company
demonstrates commitment to improving overall sustainability performance across
a range of initiatives.
And Toyota Australia has made the finalist list, also in the
Large Business category, for its Next Big Step program which aims to embed
sustainable practices across the business.

which has led to a 45 per cent reduction in prescribed waste; continuing ISO
14001 certification with 15 years of consecutive zero non-conformances; ongoing
commitment to the local community including the launch of their first Community
Grant Scheme; and recognition as the #1 Brand in the Reputex Corporate
Reputation Index.
Now in their 12th year, the Premier’s Sustainability Awards
celebrate efficient use of water, resources and energy, better waste management
and recycling practices, the enhancement of the environment and effective,
practical community action.
