Ausco Modular wins supply deal for SA’s largest construction project

Ausco Modular, an Australian manufacturer of modular infrastructure, has won the contract to supply construction facilities for the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, currently South Australia’s largest construction project.

This major project will see the supply of facilities for up to 1,800 workers at peak, including a fully operational commercial canteen, a 200sqm safety induction facility, 1,200sqm of office suites and all associated site facilities.

The project will be rolled out in stages to accommodate the growth of the construction project over the next four years, with the first six hire buildings supplied and installed within 72 hours of winning the contract.

Ausco Modular’s General Manager Southern Region Rob Wormald said winning the new Royal Adelaide Hospital contract demonstrated Ausco Modular’s extensive supply capabilities.

“Ausco Modular has been operating in South Australia for more than 50 years, with local manufacturing facilities and staff. This project is a great example of Ausco’s ability to provide fast, efficient and high-quality building solutions,” Wormald said.

“Some of the innovative solutions included in the final design were a ‘smart’ boardroom, break-out areas and configuring the overall design around significant trees on the site,” he said.
