A new report signals a call to action in boosting Asian capability for Australian businesses, according to its author.
The Leading in the Asian Century: A National Scorecard report was released this morning, co-authored by the Diversity Council of Australia and University of Melbourne’s Asialink Business. It was sponsored by Norton Rose Fulbright, Tesltra and CIMIC Group.
“This report delivers a powerful message – that focusing on Asia capability is a strategic business issue for organisations of all sizes, across all sectors of the economy,” said Asialink’s CEO, Mukund Narayanamurti, in a statement.
The report found that 2/3 of respondents confessed “little or no working knowledge” on doing business within Asia, and that a lack of AQ (Asia capability) remained a major impediment to success in the region.
National Scorecard delivered “an important call to action”, according to Asialink.
